Yes. Strip "8b". It's all due to a slight scripting error on my part, in which I included somewhat more action and dialogue in one strip than what can be stuffed into four narrow panels.
So I did the natural thing and split the strip in two. Re-naming and re-dating all the strips to come after this one, however, would be rather a chore, and that led me to the pragmatic (see also: lazy) decision to simply name this strip "8b", so as to indicate it's close relationship with strip 8.
